About Steve

BACKGROUND

My early years were in the Kansas City area, primarily Overland Park and Prairie Village. Played football and baseball in high school and I was active in the Boy Scouts. I attended Kansas State University on a baseball scholarship and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians. I was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and was awarded Most Outstanding Active Member. Enrolled in to the US Army at Fort Jackson, NC and Fort Leonard Wood in MO. After serving in the Army, I was employed with Mobil Oil, raised 3 children who attended Cherry Creek High School and later college with my daughter, graduating from law school at American University in Washington DC. I coached Little League baseball for years and both of my sons were awarded scholarships for baseball and one played in the New York Yankees system.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Physical fitness, golf, watching college football and college basketball. I enjoy traveling and spending time in Vail, Colorado in the summer. Season ticket holder for the Colorado Rockies. Supporting Varsity Athletics at Kansas State University. I certainly enjoy spending time with my 3 children who live in Chicago, Washington DC and New Orleans. I have a brother in Kansas City and a sister in Charlotte, NC, who I visit often, particularly around Holiday times.
